REVIEWS OF “BED PLAY”

"Written entirely in rhyme, the play celebrates intimacy, love and sex, which Steiman said are narratives often exclusionary of queer people."

"Oftentimes, we see the pains ... or it's centered around that person being queer and that’s their struggle,” Steiman said, "whereas this dives deeper into that and shows what it’s really like to just be queer and live your life." - IndyStar

"The originality of poet-playwright-screenwriter Steiman’s 90-minute play is striking. It’s written, often ingeniously, in slam poetry and rhyme, devices that emulate The Bard." - On the Isle with Tom Alverez

"The versatile verses are a marvel unto themselves, as intriguing and probing as the relationships, and kept up throughout. At moments it is comparable to Eminem or Miranda, or even Shakespeare’s sonnets, but better to just say it’s Steiman’s brave genius at work." - Plays with John and Wendy
